Hi there! I’m a historical researcher and writer. I focus mostly on nineteenth-century American military history with occasional forays into the twentieth century and historical geography or social history.
I bring to my research work a background that started with life in an Air Force family during the Cold War. Continued with my own service in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, work in international satellite communications engineering and operations, management consulting in the public and private sectors, and acquisition program management for Army information technology.
Dennis, you and I met at a meeting in your office about the Amelia artificial intelligence product. Your collection of challenge coins was impressive.
Reading your new role listed on LinkedIn as military historian and your extensive studies of Ned Brownson, we will connect again.
Veterans & Homefront Voices is a program I founded which pairs older veterans with Junior ROTC cadets to record stories and insights of the veteran and their Homefront: spouse, parents, children, friends who kept the soldier’s family running while the soldier deployed.
I have long wanted to find someone who is fairly intimate with a soldier’s life from the past centuries and to have a cadet interview that person as someone like Ned Brownson.
Let’s discuss.
